We are Australian: National Identity in Australia’s Audio & Visual History
The presentation will be an exploration of the way that Australians have seen ourselves over the last century and a quarter. It will also explore who we actually were and how our identity changed over time. We will draw on the audio and moving image collection of the National Film and Sound Archive using both fiction and non-fiction materials.
The National Film and Sound Collection has a host of funny, informative, engaging, and at times horrifying stories to tell about what is now well over a century of the evolution of Australian culture and identity. This presentation will be an entertaining session and will also tell an important story about how we came to be the nation we are today.
This session presented by Jeff Brownrigg, Ron Brent and Marilyn Dooley.
